So much to do, so little time. A head full of ideas and very few of them actually getting done!
If there's anything the last year has taught me it's that you never know what is going to be around the next corner and what opportunities might be coming along. Certainly it's meant that some of the things I've planned to do just haven't happened, but then I've done other things instead.
So, what's coming up? More lampwork, definitely. I'll be selling at fairs, still, but not necessarily at some I've done in the past. I'll mostly be selling through the internet, and mainly through Facebook. I'm a member of two groups there - Lampwork Bazaar, and UK Lampwork Showcase.
I'm really enjoying the silversmithing too. So much to learn, but that's part of the joy of it. I shall have some jewellery items avalable, sold exclusively though fairs and a couple of other outlets. I'm also working on a range of handmade findings for jewellery makers, and they will be available at fairs and in my webstore on this site.
So, that brings me to the webstore. It is going to be bigger and better. Dichroic glass, Bali and Thai silver, glass, shell, gemstones and all sorts of other items.
Wonder how much of this will actually get done?

Yes, five years since I last wrote anything in this blog. Guess I'm not cut out to write regularly, although I suppose if I now wait another five years then that could be classed as an example of regularity
So why write now? Because I'm carrying out a major update of my website. Rather than use it as a landing page to link to other places I've decided to upgrade it to a full selling site. I'm nearly finished lising all the lovely dichroic glass that I have in stock, and will soon be starting to add some silver items too.
Ebay no longer seems to suit the way I do things, so I'm intending to close my Ebay shop, but that will mean that I can be more competitive with my pricing if I don't have to pay their fees, and that means better deals for my customers.
So, I'd better get on with the changes. See you in another five years

Five hours of torching today. Made a pile of flower beads, mostly for the Essex bead fair on March 1st. Nearly ran out of mandrels.
I'm really looking forward to the bead fairs again. It's great to have a look and see what's around, and I do like it when something of mine sells. I still get a little thrill knowing that somebody wants to buy a bead that I made from scratch.
I know, little things and little minds

Yes, I know, you're thinking what's the point of having a blog if nothing's ever written on it? How do I know if anyone is reading it anyway, and if they aren't, why bother writing at all? Do I need to write for me? Well obviously not, otherwise I'd write more often.
So, maybe I will, maybe I won't. I'm not sure how I feel about my little contribution to all the cyberjunk that is floating around out there, or is that out here?
